The Cardo FREECOM 4X Single is a premium Bluetooth helmet communication system designed for riders who want more group capability than a basic two-person intercom without moving to a PACKTALK mesh system.
Cardo's Live Bluetooth Intercom connects up to four compatible riders with wideband audio and a self-healing connection. The FREECOM 4X provides a published unit-to-unit range of up to 0.75 mile under suitable riding conditions.
The Single package contains the equipment needed to install one complete FREECOM 4X system in one compatible helmet. Each additional rider requires their own compatible communication system.
The Upgraded Bluetooth Group Option
The FREECOM 4X is an excellent choice for riders who want communication with as many as four people, premium JBL audio and hands-free voice operation without paying for features intended primarily for larger mesh-intercom groups.

Live Bluetooth Intercom
The FREECOM 4X uses Bluetooth intercom technology to connect up to four compatible riders. Its Live Intercom connection is designed to automatically recover when compatible riders temporarily move out of range and return.
Rider-to-rider intercom does not require cellular service. A connected smartphone is only needed for functions such as phone calls, streaming audio, app-based configuration and online navigation services.
Riders who regularly communicate in larger groups or frequently change positions within the group may prefer a Cardo PACKTALK system with Dynamic Mesh Communication.
Premium Sound by JBL
The included 40mm JBL speakers provide clear audio for rider communication, music, navigation instructions, phone calls and FM radio.
Three selectable sound profiles allow riders to adjust the audio response through the Cardo Connect app. Speaker booster pads are included to help position the speakers closer to the rider's ears when needed.
Natural Voice Operation
Natural Voice Operation allows supported functions to be controlled using spoken commands. This reduces the need to remove a hand from the controls to operate the unit while riding.

Single-Unit Package
This listing includes one complete communication system for one helmet. Each additional person participating in the intercom conversation requires their own compatible Cardo or supported cross-brand communication system.
Bluetooth Intercom or Mesh Intercom?
The FREECOM 4X uses Bluetooth and Live Intercom. It does not use Cardo Dynamic Mesh Communication.
Choose the FREECOM 4X for Bluetooth communication with up to four riders. Consider a PACKTALK Edge or PACKTALK PRO when communicating with larger groups or when a self-organizing DMC mesh network is preferred.
Communication Range Information
Published ranges represent maximum performance under suitable conditions. Actual communication range can be reduced by hills, trees, buildings, rider position, weather, power lines, wireless interference and other obstacles between riders.
